Consumer goods giant Procter & Gamble is expanding its footprint in Georgia with the announcement of the construction of a $205 million distribution center in Butts County. This is the company’s second distribution center in the state – the first one is outside Atlanta. It also has a manufacturing facility in Albany.
The state-of-the-art distribution center will be in Jackson, about halfway between Atlanta and Macon, and is expected to add 350 jobs. It will have over 1 million square feet.
Headquartered in Cincinnati, Procter & Gamble employs more than 100,000 people worldwide and is considered one of the world’s most admired companies.
