Study reveals Georgians worked over 4.2 billion unpaid hours in 2023

According to a recently released study by Rebel’s Guide to Project Management, there was a sharp uptick in the amount of unpaid hours employees in the U.S. worked in 2023 compared to 2022, including those in Georgia.

Encompassing 3,000 employees across the country, the survey found that Georgians worked an extra 4.9 hours per week of unpaid overtime last year, compared to 2022. This equates to 256 hours per employee over the year and collectively amounts to 1,729,067,356 overtime hours for the state, yielding a 214% increase compared to the year before.
