Students ‘Show Love’ with release of new song to celebrate MLK

by The 100 Companies

Held annually, the Otis Music Camp was established in 2007 by the Otis Redding Foundation to celebrate what would have been the musician’s 70th birthday. The camp’s mission is to educate students 12-18 in all aspects of the music business.

During the pandemic, in 2020, the students wrote and produced a song to celebrate the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr. and released it this week. “Show Love” is based on Dr. King’s sermon delivered at Dexter Baptist Church in Montgomery, Alabama, in 1957 and contains an excerpt of it.

You can view a video with the song on YouTube.
