7 GA restaurants, chefs are James Beard semifinalists

As Georgia continues to make its mark on the national food scene, seven restaurants from our state were named semifinalists for a James Beard Award, the most prestigious honor in the culinary world.

Every year since 1991 the James Beard Foundation has recognized chefs and restaurants covering all levels of dining, from casual street food to fine dining establishments. The Georgia nominees this year are:

Erika Council, Bomb Biscuits, Atlanta

Duane Nutter, Southern National, Atlanta
