Take your sweet tooth to Dahlonega the week of March 6-12, when participating shops and restaurants will be handing out free samples of chocolate items like fudge, cookies, candies, pies, ice cream and specialty drinks during the Third Annual Chocolate Crawl.
Pick up a passport at the Dahlonega Visitors Center, have it marked at six locations and you’ll be eligible for a drawing to win prizes that include an overnight stay, restaurant gift card or gourmet basket.
One participating shop is Paul Thomas Chocolates, which sells handmade candies, chocolates and gifts, including chocolate covered Oreos, pretzels, orange peels and pecans.
