Take advantage of our (usually) mild January weather to get outside. Every year, in partnership with America’s State Parks, Georgia State Parks celebrate First Day Hikes to encourage people to explore and get closer to nature.
Check out more than 50 First Day Hikes around the state. They range from a leisurely stroll to a waterfall to longer, more challenging hikes. Many are pet-friendly and great for the whole family.
Fort Mountain State Park is hosting its 12th Annual Black Bear Plunge, while Crooked River State Park is hosting a ranger-led tour of Crooked River. Some events include a fee.
