To close deals, brokers may have to clean things up

by The 100 Companies

Persistence often wears down resistance, and that’s how I came to sell a contaminated dry cleaning facility.

The property had served the good people of Sandy Springs for over 50 years, using ancient machinery while still doing a professional job. My first priority was bringing in an environmental cleanup company to assess any “leakage” and educate the owner about potential liability.

Next, we engaged the “Queen of Perc” to test the soil to meet county environmental standards and to buffer negotiations from a legal perspective. The right buyer was secured who knew how to navigate contamination issues, but we closed!
