Bluegrass fans, you’re in for some foot stompin’ fun this weekend. Head to Hiawassee for your chance to hear a free concert when the United States Navy Band Country Current performs at the Vincent and Dailey American Made Music Fest on Friday, Sept. 16 and Saturday, Sept. 17 at the Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds.
This seven-member ensemble band of sailors plays a blend of bluegrass and modern country.
The band has performed at bluegrass festivals, the Grand Ole Opry and for several presidents since its founding in 1973. It was the first military band to play at South by Southwest in Austin.
