After his father, Gregg Allman, passed away in 2017, Devon Allman started the Allman Family Revival shows, playing at venues across the U.S. This one-night only celebration has now become a yearly tradition.
The shows feature his group The Devon Allman Project and other musicians who come together to celebrate the life and music of his father. The musicians vary by locale but include Ivan Neville, Ian Neville, Orbi Orbison, Jimmy Hall and Larry McCray.
Eighteen new shows were added in November and December, including the first one in the Allman Brothers’ home town of Macon on Nov. 26.
