BYOB and march in your own parade in ‘Unsilent Night’

by The 100 Companies

BYOB (bring your own boombox) to march in the Unsilent Night event in Athens Dec. 23. These events take place around the country during the month of December.

Anyone who wants to participate downloads one of four tracks of music. Then, during the parade each participant carries a boombox, or anything that amplifies music, and all the parts are played together. Composer Phil Kline created the public sound sculpture in 1992 in the form of a holiday caroling party. It has been held in 146 cities and five continents.

This event starts at 7:30 p.m. at Little Kings Shuffle Club.
