Atlanta Braves affiliate moving back to Georgia

by The 100 Companies

The Atlanta Braves AA affiliate, the Mississippi Braves, has been based in Pearl, Mississippi, since 2005 when it moved from Greenville, South Carolina. The minor league team is on the move again, this time back to Georgia in 2025.

In an effort to lure the team back to our state, the city council of Columbus voted to start the process to borrow $50 million to update the city’s historic Golden Park Stadium. Built in 1926, the stadium has 3,500 seats and has hosted several minor league baseball teams.

The proposed upgrade worked, and the team made its relocation official in January.
