After I’d been knocking on office doors for a while, I’d memorized my pitch about how I could help businesses move to another building when their lease expired.
Sometimes no one would answer. Others, the owner was out. Occasionally, I’d shake a hand, gaining a client.
Once I was ushered into a large conference room and offered water while I waited for the owner. Looking at photos on the wall, I spotted one of the building I was in. I quickly pivoted and improvised, telling the courteous gentleman how I could help bring new tenants to his investment. Whew!
