Georgia consistently ranks No. 1 state for doing business

by The 100 Companies

Georgia is the No. 1 state for doing business for the eighth year in a row, according to Area Development magazine.

Factors that account for the top ranking include reasonably priced energy, a favorable real estate market and business incentive and workforce development programs.

Georgia has easy-to-find qualified labor, and there’s a good quality of life to attract job-seekers. The state government has been recognized as being cooperative and responsive to people doing business here.

The Peach State also ranks in the top 10 states for Fortune 500 companies – home to 18 Fortune 500 companies and 33 Fortune 1000 companies.
