Every spring, the small town of Vidalia, Georgia, hosts a festival that pays tribute to its world-famous Vidalia onions. Known for their sweet, mild flavor, these onions are harvested in the region and are the star of the festival.
The event includes a variety of activities, from a lively parade to a baking contest, showcasing the versatility of Vidalia onions in everything from pies to pickles. The festival isn’t just about food – it’s also a cultural celebration with music, arts and entertainment for the whole family, including an airshow with the Blue Angels.
This year’s festival will be April 24-27.
