From music heritage to craft brews: Rock Candy Tours expands Macon’s tour offerings under new ownership

by The 100 Companies

It started in 2011 as a way to share Macon’s rich music heritage after the Georgia Music Hall of Fame closed. Founded by Jessica Walden and Jamie Weatherford, Rock Candy Tours grew into a popular tour company offering a Free Bird & Night Owl Walking Tour and Rock & Soul Riding Tour.

Additional tours include the Macon Macabre Walking Tour and Kegs & Stills Tour, highlighting Macon’s breweries and distillery.

Visit Macon and the Downtown Macon Visitors Center recently purchased the company, expanded its tour roster to include the Soul Sights Van Tour, African American Heritage Van Tour and African American Music Experience.
