Soulful music will echo from Rialto Center for the Arts when the venue hosts a cappella wonders Sweet Honey In The Rock Jan. 25. Celebrating 50 years and three Grammy nominations, this versatile all-female African American ensemble features five-part harmonies expressing their history as Black women through song, dance and an American Sign Language interpreter as their sixth member.
Their vibrant and ever-relevant collective was founded on the missions of empowerment, education and entertainment, with socially conscious music taking stances on civil and human rights, spirituality and making our planet better for all.
