For two weekends every year, the Georgia Trust for Historic Preservation hosts Rambles, which include home tours, events and receptions at venues not usually open to the public. Recent Rambles have been in Macon, Newnan and Thomasville.
We joined the Ramble in Augusta and loved touring gorgeous homes and enjoying private receptions. A highlight was a party in a lovely residential garden.
The Spring Ramble will be April 25-27, 2025, in the Golden Isles, which includes Brunswick, Darien and Jekyll Island. Tickets for tours only start at $60 for one day; nonmember tickets for all events range from $190 to $380.
