I stopped by the Booth Western Art Museum recently and really enjoyed the exhibition “Georgia O’Keeffe, A Life Well Lived: Photographs by Malcolm Varon.” A video interview and 48 previously unpublished photos reveal the personality of the most important woman artist of the 20th century. The exhibition runs through Dec. 29.
The Booth Museum, located in Cartersville about 35 miles north of Atlanta, is 120,000 square feet, the second largest museum in Georgia after the High Museum of Art. It is one of three Smithsonian-affiliated museums in Cartersville. The other two are the Tellus Science Museum and the Savoy Automobile Museum.
