Thanks to the third annual Campbell’s State of the Sides report, we know the most popular side dishes served for Thanksgiving in every state. The study also revealed that 55% prefer the side dishes to the turkey and 60% of cooks enjoy making them more.
Other fun results from the study include that root vegetable dishes reign supreme in California, New York and Arizona, salad is popular in Virginia and it’s all about the bread in Colorado.
For our state, the top five most popular Thanksgiving dishes are mashed potatoes, stuffing/dressing, macaroni and cheese, yams/sweet potatoes and green bean casserole.
