Atlanta HBCUs receive donation towards funding education access

by The 100 Companies

Lilly Endowment Inc. donated $100 million to the United Negro College Fund on Jan. 12, intended to support the fund’s new $1 billion capital campaign. The money will be distributed to historically Black colleges and universities across the nation, including five schools located in Atlanta:

Morehouse School of Medicine

Spelman College

Clark Atlanta University

Interdenominational Theological Center

Morehouse College

Each UNCF member’s endowment will increase by $2.7 million, and the funds will go towards supporting student scholarships and ensuring the school is affordable – and accessible – all the way through to graduation.
