The Great American Beer Festival, the largest professional competition in the country, concluded this weekend with the Brewers Association selecting the best beers of 2023.
Judges from 10 countries evaluated more than 9,400 entries and awarded gold, silver and bronze medals to 303 breweries.
Five Georgia breweries were winners, including one gold medal winner. Rock Solid Brewing Co. in Ball Ground won a gold medal for Midnight Trucker in the International Dark Lager category.
Bronze medal winners included Georgia Beer Company in Valdosta, New Realm Brewing Company in Atlanta, Creature Comforts Production Facility in Athens and Monday Night Brewing in Atlanta.
