Considered to be one of the best small towns in Georgia, Madison is known for its beautiful antebellum homes. It was spared from Sherman’s fiery March to the Sea in 1864.
Tour some of Madison’s prettiest homes during the Madison Spring Tour of Homes taking place April 14 and 15. Tickets for the self-guided tour are $30 and $40, and shuttle buses are available.
A few of the homes on tour are the Jessup-Atkinson-Lindsey House built in 1820, the Massey House, a Craftsman bungalow built in 2005 and the Joshua Hill House built around 1842.
