Georgia breaks international trade record

Georgia experienced a sharp increase in exports over the past two years, and for the second year in a row, broke the record for international trade.

According to the 2022 trade report, last year Georgia traded with 221 countries and territories for a total of more than $196 billion, an increase of $5 billion from 2021.

Georgia’s top 10 trading partners are China, Mexico, Germany, Canada, South Korea, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, India and Thailand. The top three leading industries are aerospace with $9.2 billion, agriculture with $5.8 billion and automotive with $4.1 billion.

Small businesses account for 85% of Georgia exporters.
