Smart growth comes to small towns in Georgia

by The 100 Companies

My Mom and her parents were from the small town of Hogansville, GA (population around 3,000 for decades).

Growing up, I treasured escaping from the big city of Atlanta, where we lived, to relish what I called “the country life.” With the impressive momentum of our state’s economic growth, developments have spilled off Georgia’s Interstate exits and have benefited the local communities that are lucky enough to be in their path.

Industry brings jobs, jobs bring new housing and renovations of old homes; infrastructure then gets upgraded and the resultant community pride brings entrepreneurs and benefactors.

Smart growth is good!
