Small town on brink of big growth

by The 100 Companies

Located about 20 miles northwest of Savannah, Rincon, Georgia, has a population of less than 15,000 people. As suburbs of Savannah have been creeping outward, this town in Effingham County has seen its population grow from less than 3,000 in 1990. But now it’s about to explode.

Hyundai announced plans to built a mega plant there and millions of acres of land have been annexed for future growth. Four subdivisions are undergoing expansion and three new subdivisions are being built to house employees moving to the area.

A new city manager, Jonathan Lynn, was hired to manage the small town’s growth.
