With its first major property expansion since its 1976 founding, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is set to increase by about seven acres – making it one of the nation’s most popular revitalization projects. With a recent gift of $25 million by the James M. Cox Foundation, the expansion along Piedmont Avenue will also allow direct access to the BeltLine and add a second entrance for walkers and bikers.
Since the plan began in 2018, the Garden has purchased several neighboring commercial properties for its expansion, which is expected to be complete by 2026.
