Deadline for Real IDs extended in Georgia

by The 100 Companies

You may have been reading stories about the need to have a Real ID to board domestic flights or enter certain federal buildings. There is good news for Georgians on that front.

If you have been issued a permanent driver’s license after 2012, you already have a Real ID. If you see a gold or black star in the upper right-hand corner of your license, you’re good to go.

If you don’t have a Real ID, the deadline to get one in Georgia was just extended again for two years due to the pandemic. You now have until May 7, 2025.
