Georgia Tech research team presents new pet technology

This one’s for you, pet lovers. If you have a furry friend at home that you’re worried about – whether it’s training related or for health reasons – Georgia Tech may have solved your problems.

PetTrack was presented at BodySys 2022, a workshop on body-centric computing systems. The device uses a combination of sensors that gives the real-time location of your pet. The biggest draw is that no cameras are necessary, making it much less vulnerable to hackers and less invasive. It works by a small sensor being placed on a collar that works with a compatible smartphone app.
