For over 50 years, Helen’s Oktoberfest celebration, now running daily through Oct. 30, has drawn locals and tourists alike, eager to take part in the food, dancing and drinks.
The festival, which is the longest-running of its kind in the United States, blends German and American traditions and refreshing lagers.The Helen Festhalle hosts German-style bands each year, performing alphorns, cowbells and accordions to the timeless tunes of the Polka.
Admission is $8 on weekdays, $10 on Saturdays, and free on Sundays. The festival kicks off at 6 p.m. during the week and 1 p.m. on the weekend.
