Atlanta is known for its vibrant culture, and now, a new event aims to bring the city’s robust art scene to the forefront.
The inaugural edition of Atlanta Art Week will take place Sept. 29-Oct. 2. Founded by art advisor Kendra Walker, the event’s purpose is to unify Atlanta’s bustling art scene and make it a larger focal point of the city.
More than 20 galleries, museums, institutions and nonprofit spaces are set to participate in the four-day arts affair. The participants will host extended hours and special events throughout the week, including private collection viewings, panel discussions and curator-led tours.
