Most commercial real estate deals take years to close. I closed my first in five days.

My Uncle Howard’s business, American Stamp and Seal, burned down and he needed a new building – fast. I gathered a number of options to show him. It was a hot July day. I picked him up in my 1965 Monte Carlo that had no air conditioning. We drove around looking at sites with the windows down and the ceiling flapping in the wind.

At our last stop, he said, “God, I can’t take this anymore. Just get me a lease and I’ll sign it.”
