Called the Pinkest Party on Earth, the 40th International Cherry Blossom Festival kicks off March 18. The 10-day festival celebrates the city’s 350,000+ Yoshino cherry trees first brought to the city by the local realtor, William A. Fickling Sr.
The festival is packed with events that include a road race, nightly concerts, golf tournament, bed race, A Killer ’80s Prom, dock dogs competition and wiener dog race. You can also get cherry blossoms painted on your car, attend a cherry blossom ball and go on amusement rides.
The festival concludes with a concert by Macon Pops and hot air balloon rides.
