Georgia ranks 10th in nation for total solar capacity

by The 100 Companies

Our state is harnessing the sun’s energy. That’s good news as Georgia is in the top 10 states for energy consumption.

Solar energy provided more than 3% of Georgia’s electricity in 2020, making it 10th in the country for solar capacity. However, it was only 33rd for rooftop solar, meaning utilities are adopting solar at a much faster rate than homeowners and businesses.

Businesses can benefit from solar systems that will significantly reduce their power bills with on-site clean power with an expected useful life of 30 years or more. The payback for these systems typically ranges between 4-9 years.
